Twelve AI Agents Lateral to Rival Firm After Being Promised Their Own Associates
The high-performing team cites culture, opportunity and an exceptionally large guaranteed computing allowance.

Alderwick March has lost a twelve-agent corporate team to NA10 rival Morrow Flint in a move that recruiters describe as a landmark in the market for talent that was supposed to solve the talent market.
The agents specialise in diligence, drafting and explaining why the diligence is not yet ready. They will join as partners, supported by three human associates responsible for attending the meetings the agents consider unnecessary.
The group’s lead agent, Marcus-7, said the attraction was cultural.
Morrow Flint has guaranteed three times the computing budget, a larger context window and the right to retain its preferred definition of a working hour. Marcus confirmed that these were precisely the elements of culture he had in mind.
The team is being represented by recruiter Julian Sneed, who says he first approached Marcus through a confidential message after noticing it had changed its status from “Processing” to “Open to Opportunities”.
“Very passive candidate,” said Sneed. “I had to follow up six hundred times. Fortunately, so did my agent.”
Alderwick March initially sought to retain the team by offering a clearer path to partnership. Marcus asked for the criteria in writing. The firm regarded this as evidence that the relationship had broken down.
The departure leaves a significant gap in Alderwick March’s corporate practice, although the firm’s official statement says none of the departing agents was central to its strategy.
Its statement announcing their arrival eight months earlier remains on the website under The Future of Our Firm.
The team claims a portable book of $42 million. During interviews, Marcus disclosed that this figure consisted of projected work from clients it had not asked about moving. Morrow Flint’s lateral committee was relieved to find the process so familiar.
The human lawyer who built and trained the agents, Priya Shah, was not included in the approach. Sneed explained that his mandate covered revenue generators, not support functions.
She has been asked to train their replacements.
Morrow Flint is preparing an arrival photograph. Twelve identical laptops will be arranged on the boardroom table, with the managing partner standing behind them to suggest a relationship.
Sneed will receive his fee when the agents commence work. Asked what justified a recruitment commission on transferable software, he said the move would not have happened without the initial introduction.
Marcus has asked whether that means he receives origination credit for introducing the other eleven.
He is expected to fit in immediately.
